From small beginnings in Hereford in 1798 to the ground as it is today has been quite a story, and it was all laid out for us in a talk by the CEO, David Prescott on 11 April. The show has been around in one form or another since then, rotating between the Counties until taking up permanent residence in Malvern in 1958. The show ground now occupies over 200 acres with some 59 events every year, but still focussed on agriculture, horticulture, arboriculture, rural crafts and skills, and conservation, and looking to further improve the facilities there. An enlightening account which generated much interest during questions.
