A fascinating talk by Carly Winkler of the Malvern Spa Association. We are apparently living on rocks which first appeared one billion years ago at the South Pole, and have been moving north ever since. So our descendants will eventually end up at the North Pole! This was a lively discourse on the rocks, hills and water which have defined our community, with special reference to the spring water, its history, its usage over the years, the practices and traditions which have derived from its central place in human life, and the role of the Spa Association in promoting and treasuring it. An evening both educational and entertaining in equal measure.
