Prior to the Talk on Friday, 9th September, we are having cake and wine/juice to CELEBRATE Dr John Harcup’s 90th Birthday, actually in August but this is the first opportunity we have to get together. The Eden Centre will be open early and we plan to cut the Cake just after 6.30pm.
There has had to be a slight change to the Talk as our original speaker is unwell but we are very fortunate in that another speaker has been found. The Speaker is Steve Goodchild and he will concentrate on the history and industry in Tewkesbury. The Talk will start as usual at 7.30pm.
Steve Goodchild has been involved with the Tewkesbury Medieval Festival since its inception in 1984 and an ex-chair of the Tewkesbury Battlefield Society. He is the author of a book on the Battle of Tewkesbury, trustee of the museum and is now involved in trying to raise interest in the neglected alleys in the Town.
