Local Visit: Treago Castle

We will have the opportunity of a private visit to this interesting fortified manor house, in the parish of St. Weonards, Herefordshire, built c.1500 probably by Sir Richard Mynors. It is still the home of the Mynors family and the tour will be led by the current owners, another Richard, and his wife, Fiona, who will tell us the history of the building and show us its features, including a priest’s ‘hole’ or hiding place.

The visit includes tea and the chance to vist the lovely gardens.
