We will meet up at the end of Brockhill Road by the Downs School (Post Code WR13 6EY). From the school we will make our way through the Purlieu, past some notable sites and onto the Wyche Free Church, walking above Jubilee Drive, to the Chase Inn for lunch (subject to any prevailing Covid19 restrictions) Telephone 01684 540276 for details. Downhill through “tree heaven” and the smoke vents from the railway tunnel to Stephen Ballard’s house and then back to the garden at the Downs school. Lunch will be taken mid walk.
Dogs would need to be on leads.
There are four stiles and some steep paths where a stick would be handy. Stout boots will be essential as we will be walking mainly on footpaths.
The walk is approximately 4 miles and with a stop for lunch, will take about 3 hours and is rated as moderate.
