Bridges Stone Mill
Alfrick, Worcester WR6 5HR
UK
We meet at the Reserve; Bridges Stone, Nr. Alfrick, Worcester. (Post Code WR6 5HR).
Parking is very limited at the reserve but we have permission to use a nearby field for parking.
We are being taken on a tour of the reserve and have chosen the month of June for this walk because we hope the wild flowers will be at their stunning best, particularly the wild orchids. This is a beautiful reserve consisting of old valley meadows, woodland and orchard. However, paths will be uneven and steep with steps in places which can be slippery and muddy when wet. We will be walking along the Leigh Brook.
Apart from the main entrance, most access points have kissing gates so few if any stiles.
Dogs are permitted but must be kept on a lead.
Subject to the prevailing Covid19 restrictions, there are toilets, a picnic area and a disabled toilet available.
Allow up to 2 hours for a leisurely stroll around the reserve. Strong walking shoes, (boots if wet), are recommended.
This would make a good family walk. We will be led by Brian Iles and the walk is rated as relatively easy.
